Editing can be tedious because it takes a lot yet it must be done. It is the process of fine tuning your writing to be smooth and cool for reading. A work not well edited will surely piece readers off. In editing, you have to look at general meaning, correct sentences, correct tense, correct phrase and words. It takes a lot I tell you. You need patience to the core to get the best of editing, if you are not, your work will have lots of error to shake off.
One crucial time to edit your work is when you are about to press the button for it release to the world to read. Yes, you have done the editing again and against but this final one is crucial, the reason been that, there are times one might think one have done it all but there is still one missing 'i' somewhere, there is still one incorrect word ready to disfigure the look of one story, one incorrect sentence willing to piece readers off. All these are not intentional but you just have to work on them to see that your work is in the right shape. There are some hidden errors that might have escape all your labour of editing, the last minute edit is the time to get them and correct them.
Don't underestimate the power of last minute edit, it works and it can begin to give your story a better face. Let nothing put you under pressure to release that story until you have done all you need do. And if you are to meet a target start work on your story early enough.
